Over 18 years of academic and industry experience in human resources management in the Middle East. He has attained PhD (Management), DBA (Economics, Entrepreneurship and Management) and Masters in Personnel Management. His research includes the investigation into recruitment, selection and retention practices in Saudi Arabian small and medium scale enterprises. And also, the Analysis of Talent Management Strategies in IT industry. Has published over 15 research papers and concept articles in various journals and presented research papers at national and international conferences in the areas of HR, Recruitment, Talent Management, HRD, Performance Management, Organizational Development, 21st century skills, employability skills and pragmatic teaching methods in business.
Abdul, is currently working as an Assistant Professor in Business (HR) at Higher College of Technology, Abu Dhabi, UAE, Abdul teaches the elective on Human Resources Management and General Management. And also play important role in the design and development of HR programs. He has been the supervisor of student research projects and work placement for many years.
For many years, he built up and directed executive education seminars and training programs on employability skills, HR and general management. He has been the HR program director, Assistant Chair of HR program and HR Program Coordinator for successive periods. And chaired the program accreditation, industry-academia and curriculum development committees. He the winner of Queen Effat Award for the Excellence in Teaching for outstanding contribution towards implementing innovative students oriented teaching methodologies.
He is also a Fellow of Chartered Management Institute (CMI), SHRM-CP (Society of Human Resources Management-Certified Professional), Academic Member of CIPD (MCIPD), and a Certified Psychometric Testing professional.
